I know that in Lightroom Classic you can create virtual copies of each photo and store them in separate album for a different edits. Is there a way to do this in Lightroom CC?

Not that I know. Lightroom does not have virtual copies, but it does have Versions, which are a bit similar. You cannot add different versions to different albums, however.

Short answer is not really.

Long answer is, sort of. Lr has the capability to "Duplicate" the image. In which case it is making a physical copy of the image.

If you used versions to track your edit changes, you can then "promote" which ever version you want for each image.
