After exporting an edited JPEG file from Lightroom mobile (Android), I noticed there had been a decrease in file size compared to the original. I then imported and exported another JPEG without doing any further editing, and experienced the same issue. I did check the export settings, which are set to retain full size and quality. Thus my question is, what causes this compression/quality loss and how can I stop that from happening?

In the export settings,
without resizing
Make sure the "Quality" is set to 100%.
JPEGs taken with a camera and JPEGs exported from Lightroom have different storage processes, so the amount of data is different.
Even if it is smaller than the original image, it does not mean that the image quality has deteriorated.
Also, if you remove noise in the development process, the data size will be smaller, but the quality will not be lower.

Thanks a lot for you reply!
As said, I did make sure to set Quality to 100%. But most importantly, I infer from your reply that there shouldn't be any quality reduction, which I'm very relieved to hear. And as far as my own naked eye goes, I couldn't detect any noticable difference either.
