Lens blur disappears in Lightroom

New Here ,
Mar 26, 2024 Mar 26, 2024

I've edit a large number of photos with lens blur, that I now want to export to jpg's for delivery.

However, the lensblur effekt seems to disspear from the editd photos and from the exported jpgs.

If i look at a photo in detail view that I have editet, the checkbox for Lens blur is checked but the effekt itself is gone from the photo. I have to toggle preview changes severeal times, or un check and then recheck the lens blur option in order to reapply it.

However it just disspears again if i go on to edit another photo.

As it stands I have to reapply the Lens Blur effekt on every phot, and export them one by one in order for the effekt to show up at the exported photos. HELP ?!

Im on the latest build (20240214-0910-27200e9), windows 11, and latest drivers for my AMD 6950XT.

I have set the gpu setting to highperformance anbd to be used for export and display.

I have the same problem.  Really bad...  I have 150 photos to export one by one now...

For the two of you on this thread, if you disable the GPU in preferences, are you then able to export multiple items with Lens Blur?

Hi Rikk,  Thank you but, unfortunately, that did not help.  10% or less maintained the blur and the vast majority did not.

Please provide the Lightroom Version Number, OS version number,  and screenshots of your Lens Blur Panel and Export Dialog.

So what's interesting, is that the export preview does not show the lens blur that the detail screen shows.  I'd upload the screenshots, but they are portraits and it would violate the confidentiality of my client.  I can try it with an online image if that's necessary.  It's pretty easy to reproduce.

EXACT same problem.

It looks like for a large number of photos it doesn't maintain the AI cached output.

And so it exports the remainder of photos without the lens blur. I tried exporting multiple times with the same result. Some photos blurred, some not. No issue when exporting one by one. When I reopen the photos that failed, I get the message pop up that "some AI settings need to be recomputed".

Same here but on a brand new Mac Book Pro with Secouia 15.3.2 and lightroom 8.2

Any news on this? Kind of need to get these exported asap

LATEST

So when I mark photos and click export it seems there's a new "window" or section of lightroom opens.

I can then scroll through the photos individually before export - it seems they load individually then and the photos that have lens blur all start blurry during load time but some loose the blur effect while others retain it when finished loading.

Could be that it's at this "pre-export" stage Lightroom has problems.

For me it seems to only be an issue with lens blur - all other effects, colour etc seem to export fine.
