Light Room DNG autocrop Bug

Hi,

I have noticed a bug with DNG files shot by the Lightroom app. They should be 4160 x 3120 pixels but are being cropped to 4144 x 3104 pixels.

It would be great if this can be fixed as I am losing 16 x 16 pixels on my DNG photos. The Lightroom camera correctly takes 4160 x 3120 only in Jpeg mode.

Also PNG export would be appreciated.

My OnePlus 3 captures RAW and JPEG at 4640x3480 regardless of the camera app, including Lightroom. Note that the second dimension doesn't divide by 32.

It's really useful if you specify your device and OS.

UPDATE:

The dng files DO contain the missing 16 x 16 pixels. The opensource software UFRAW correctly opens them at full resolution.

For some reason dng import on PC Photoshop CS, Android Lightroom and Android Snapseed truncates (crops) 16 x 16 pixels.

STOCK CAMERA

jpeg: 4160 x 3120 pixels.

LIGHTROOM CAMERA

jpeg: 4160 x 3120 pixels.

dng: 4144 x 3104 pixels.

OPEN CAMERA

jpeg: 4160 x 3120 pixels.

dng: 4144 x 3104 pixels.

It seems that dng (tested on Android) only supports resolutions divisible by 32. 4160 is not divisible by 32, but 4144 is. Therefore dng is rounding down.

The 16 x 16 pixels lost in the dng format DO have image data and if you need an upload of samples.

I tried 'Open Camera' as well. It can save as Adobe dng. Open Camera also has the same issue. Open Camera lets you save two copies (dng + jpeg) when shooting. The same image is saved 4144 x 3104 dng and 4160 x 3120 jpeg. The images overlayed in Photoshop (desktop) are the same (minus camera processing) but the dng is missing 16 x 16 pixels.
