Lightroom Album discrepancy

I have Lightroom v 4.3. A couple of the albums I've created show that I have four images in there but only two of them show??

Maybe you have stacked photos in the album?  When you look at the album in grid view, do any of the photos have a little number in the upper right corner?  If so, that's a stack of photos.  Only the top photo in the stack shows in the grid view.  Click on the little number to see the other photos in the stack.
