Lightroom Android Camera won't save photos to storage

I am no longer able to save photos taken with my Lightroom camera.

When I take photographs with my Lightroom camera app, it appears to be unable to save them to storage. I have gone exploring and as far as I can tell, the photos do not appear in any album in any photo app, including the native gallery app, Google Photos, or Lightroom itself. In addition, I cannot scroll through previously taken photos in the bottom left of the Lr Camera - it only shows the last photo I have taken. Both the LR Camera and the Selfie option display this behavior.

I have located the Lightroom app in settings and given it as many permissions as possible, which comprises Camera, Contacts, Location, Notifications and Photos and videos. As far as I can tell I can only assign permissions to the Lightroom app - there is no separate permission setting for the camera portion of the apps.

I have tried clearing the Lightroom cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling the app and restarting the phone.

I have previously successfully used the Lightroom camera on this phone - I did do a data clear and reinstall at one point, and I don’t remember if the app stopped working before or after that happened. (i.e. did it stop working while still on the original install or did I trigger it by clearing the data/reinstalling)

I am running Android 14 with Samsung One UI version 6.0 and Lightroom v9.2.1

Any help would be much appreciated! The native camera app is so overprocessed and terrible I can’t take decent pictures with it - I was so happy with Lightroom 😞

Hi Rikk,

Thanks for the reply!

I would be really surprised if this were a system requirements problem since I’ve previously successfully taken hundreds of photos with Lightroom on this phone - the problem only developed recently.

However, I have checked against the link you listed and the phone does appear to meet the minimum requirements for Lightroom.

Thank you for confirming your system specifications.

I've tested LrM on Android and find that LrCamera files do end up in the Imports system album. If you set the upper left pull-down to Imports and have no filters set (Funnel Icon) you should see your most recently captured images at the top of the grid.
