Lightroom Crashing on Windows

Could you please confirm if the crash has started to happen recently, or is it the first time you have launched Lightroom on this machine? Are you working on Windows 10 or 11? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

If Lightroom was working on this machine before, it has started crashing recently. We need to ensure you have all the data backed up locally or on the cloud before further troubleshooting.

You can log on to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) to check and confirm everything is synced.

Try these steps:

Go to the following locations

• C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom CC
• Rename the Lightroom CC folder as 'Lightroom CC.old' (add .old at the end)
• Install 'Windows Media Feature Pack' by following the steps on this Microsoft document: Media Feature Pack for Windows 
• Or use this page to download the file directly (Prefer the 1903 May'19 package): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack
• Once installed, restart the computer.
