Lightroom Desktop App V.8.0 freezes/crashes

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for help. The Lightroom desktop app keeps crashing. I can open Lightroom and select an image. However, when I want to edit the image, the app freezes as soon as I open the editing panel. No crash report is displayed and the app can only be closed via the Task Manager.

I have already reinstalled the app. The graphics driver has been reinstalled and the “Use graphics processor” option has been tested on “Off”. The app itself was installed for the first time yesterday.

The hard disk and RAM were also tested for errors. However, according to the report, the results were error-free.

Hello everyone, I wanted to let you know that the problem has now been resolved by telephone support. Unfortunately, I was not told what the problem was, so I can't tell you what the problem was so that you can fix it yourself. Thank you for your participation and engagement. I think this topic can be closed for the time being.

Adobe Customer Care has two methods for support: Chat and X (formerly Twitter). How did you contact them by phone?

@matthias_2771

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Lightroom Classic forum.

Thank you very much Jane,
