Lightroom desktop stuck at importing images with a message " check disk space"

i downloaded 31,000 photos and now when i try to import more photos. lightroom is say  (checking free space on disk)

i seems to be stuck in that mode

Hi there,

Sorry that you're getting an error message that says "check free disk space" while importing in Lightroom desktop.

Which exact version of Lightroom are you using? Also, what is your operating system?
