I have had the error "Lightroom failed to initialize due to an internal error login server error "connection_error" : Error with registration PUT : Failed to connect to photos.adobe.io Port 443 Timed Out"  for many months and have been unable to use Lighroom.   I have turned off virus scanners, Windows firewall, and does not fix.   Any ideas?

Hi @wrabbit68051131

Thanks for highlighting this. We're here to help.

Which version of Lightroom and Windows are you using? When are you getting this error, can you share a screenshot?

Please review: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html, and make sure you have no network restrictions on these domains and ports.

Let us know if that helps.

Hi,

I am using Lightroom 6.2 (Adobe CC says latest version). Windows 10 Pro
(10.0.19044 Build 19044). I have attached screenshots showing Error, and
version info. I don't believe I have any network restrictions. I turn
off Windows Defender and malware, etc and still get the error. What am i
supposed to do with the allowlist domains from the link you sent?
Shouldn't turning off Windows Defender Firewall exclude this as an issue?
Why would photos.adobe.io port 443 be disallowed? Can I ping a URL to
test? I can ping adobe.com fine.

I am about to give up on Lightroom as I said this has been happening for
a long time and not able to solve this. I don't have issues with any
other programs.

Regards,
Jason

booted in Windows safe mode with networking only.   Still same error.

Adobe CC is connected fine to the network / internet.  So WHY can Adobe CC connect but Lightroom within Adobe CC cannot?

I can click Discover and view accounts I am following within Lightroom.  If Adobe CC is connected to the internet and I can browse Discover section how is Lightroom saying I have no internet? Please help or cancel my Adobe account.   I have wasted far too much time on this issue for many many months with no resolution.   Adobe is already too expensive compared to other solutions.

WHY can't I just chat to speak to technical support and fix this? This should not be taking months and now days and days.  I have deadlines.  I cannot keep waiting.   This is insane.  Every other app I use I click chat and it gets fixed within usually minutes or hours.  Adobe... months.... days... weeks.  Ridiculous.

I don't want to chat with Adobe virtual assistant.  I want to chat with a real person who can FIX this problem.

I had the same fault and it ended up being with my VPN. I hadn't changed any settings prior to the program not initializing.

So has Adobe changed some security settings?

Hello
The issue lies with the default browser of your machine
1. Make sure the broswer has all the access to the internet with both private and public network.
2. Make sure that Adobe Lightroom is allowed to connect through the firewall.
This would resolve the issue. Feel free to ask any question.
