Lightroom free trial says it's over, when it isn't...

I have a free trial running that is active until the 3rd of July ... but when I try to open the desktop app (cloud version) it says I need to start a trial or subscription.

I was able to use the software prior to today with no issue on my desktop. Also, my account on CC and mobile LR say my account trial is still active.

Please advise what to do, as I need to edit 100+ photos ASAP

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble with Lightroom. I'd love to help you figure this out.

This is a user-to-user forum. You have two active subscriptions for Adobe Lightroom (Mobile) & Lightroom plan with 1TB storage.

Lightroom Mobile subscription via the App Store, Google Play Store, or Samsung Galaxy Store, you can use Lightroom on mobile only. Check this to learn more: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-cc/kb/manage-subscription-android.html

You can reach us via chat/call support channels so our team can help with account-related issues? Visit this page to initiate a chat from the chat bubble on the right corner of the page: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Thanks!

Thank you for replying.

I only bought the Lightroom plan with 1TB storage after my issues I posted
about, as a workaround. I cancelled my Mobile plan.

My issue was, I was using the LR Desktop app since I started my Mobile
trial... I never started a different trial or accepted anything further ...
All I did after starting the mobile plan was log into adobe, downloaded CC,
and it said to download a particular LR app (the cloud based one in my
dashboard as listed available in my plan - I saw a version, LR Classic,
that is for desktop only... I did not install that one).

I used LR on my desktop since Sunday, and only yesterday evening it started
saying I needed a trial/subscription.

I asked the virtual assistant for help, and they just kept saying I had a
mobile plan, but couldn't tell me how I was using a desktop app during that
plan. Even if it was a trial for the desktop version, it should last longer
thasn2 days regardless ... So I was understandably confused.

In the end, as mentioned above, I just cancelled the Mobile plan trial and
started a new trial for the desktop cloud package...which still allows for
the mobile apps, so it's kind of weird that there are 2 trial types with
the same monthly payment amount and one is limited to mobile only...why
can't there be 2 versions, one cloud (all platforms) and the other offline
only (LR Classic)

I consider this issue closed, and a mystery.

Kind Regards
