Lightroom iPad keeps crashing during inport

Hi there, having this issue for almost two years, i cant belive is just me.

Whenever i import from CF card LR imports few pics of the selected ones and then crashes, restart, reinstall does not work. 
i hve no problem whatsoever inporting into CameraRoll and then in LR, so it is not a hardware issue.

 

does anyone have a sollution to this?

Hi,

thank you for contacting us. You mention crashes, are you getting a crash dialog on app startup afterwards?
If not, have you tried to quit all apps and restarting the device?

How many images are you trying to import once it happens?
What size is the CF card and what speed does it have?
When you import, have you waited for the image count to stop?

Hi Ignacio, thank you for taking your time. I just tried to replicate the issue and had the following situations

- i closed all apps and restatred

- in LRm i opened the import and successfully imported about 160 CR2 files

- i inserted the second card and issues started again

  - at import it crashed 

  - i ran the crash log, chose email (sent to myself, i never received the email)

 - restarted LRm, run the import, 200+ files either the import dialog stops at the building preview stage or at import

 - the LRm does not crash every time, randomly but cannot figure out the pattern

 

card is Lexar 1066x 32 and 64 geb.

i will try to get a crash log, maybe it only works when sent to adobe only, please let me know.

Hi Ignacio,

 

sorry but no progress whatsoever, both iPad and LR fully up to date. I send the diagnostics again to LR support (never received an answer from the first submission by the way, more than one month, so i attach the files here as well if it helps.

 

I would like to be able to use the import option, find it rather frustrating for someone like adobe to not fix this in more than 1.5 years.
