When I turn on HDR while editing on my Pixel 9 Pro, its just a white bright overexposed mess.
If I try to edit the same photo on my MacBook, it looks as expected. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a known bug?

Hey, @Krish P! Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll clarify this for you.
HDR editing in Lightroom Android is currently supported with these devices:
Also listed here: https://adobe.ly/3X0Gs11
Does this happen with JPEG or RAW images? Lightroom does support DNG output shots from Pixel 9 series devices: https://adobe.ly/3yX9k29
If it happens only with RAW images, please attach them here or send me a few sample images via direct message.
Thanks!

It seems like a strange limitation, given that Google Photos and Chrome support HDR on pixel 9. It looks like hdr support was turned off in pixel 8 some time ago. Is there an official word when this will be fixed and hdr re-enabled?

They say nothing about it. Just a ridicolous Company. Seriously thinking of just buying something else.

I switched back to iPhone almost within a week. Brand mew 1000$ phone, can't edit HDR photos from my 4 year old Mirrorless. Sucks.

The mobile porting of Adobe are terrible. It a not worth the price they asking for. Better moving to a different image editor.

Hm... What's new on the new Lightroom for Android v10.0 says "Edit in HDR on Pixel 9" but at least on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold it still doesn't display in HDR... Did they actually mean only the (non-pro) Pixel 9? What is everyone else's experience?

Not working on my friend's 9 Pro either.

Good news! At least on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, HDR was fixed in the latest 10.0.*1* release. Maybe this post helped, maybe not, but I am happy to see quick action on this issue 8-).

Sadly, the update only lets you edit in HDR. There is no support for actually seeing the HDR image until you export it or open it on another device. The Lightroom team hasn't said they're planning on fixing this and it has been a long time. This is how it's been for the Pixel 8 since the December update.

It definitely shows in HDR for me (sky and reflections are above sdr white bright) and the hdr histogram shows the seemingly accurate hdr headroom of the display. (Interestingly, it is reduced at very low brightness settings, constant throughout most of the display brightness setting range, and then decreases quite a bit throughout the top maybe 20%)

Oh really? You don't see this red warning on the histogram?
