When I upload original photos into Lightroom CC, they will sync in LR mobile app quickly. However, if I make an edit to the photo in LR Mobile app, those edits will not sync to the LR CC desktop. It appears everything works if it originates from my desktop version and feeds to the mobile LR, but not the other way. All is on the latest versions. How do I get my mobile app to sync with LR CC? Thank you!

Does the edit sync when you swipe to one of your next photos or navigate back to the grid view? Once you are in editing view and have pending changes applied the sync can only be forced via the top Cloud Status -> Force Sync. Hope this helps. - Guido/ Lr QE .

I am experiencing similiar issue. I have imported photos on desktop version. I could see all of them synced quickly to cloud and could access them on the mobile app. However, after I edited some photos and created new albums on the mobile app, I couldn't find them in the desktop version, even though both the mobile app and desktop version says all photos are "Synced and backed up". I have shared some of the albums via mobile app with my friends, friends are not receiving any notification also.
In the past I have done the similiar process before but there was no issue. I suspected that this time it was because when I made the editing on mobile app, my mobile app was updated however the desktop version was not. But after after I updated the desktop version, the photos are still not synced.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi. Do you see the changes on LrWeb?... https://lightroom.adobe.com/
If not, could you share a Lr Mobile diagnostic log, best as a downloadable dropbox-link? You can generate a diagnostic log when you navigate to Lr settings ->Help&Support and long-tab on the"Access our Support Forum" entry. With that a diagnostig log will be generated and attached to your local mail client. Hope to get a clue with this info soon. - Guido/ Lr Mobile QE

Hi, I have the same issue as decribed above. And yes, I see the changes on LrWeb, but I do not see them in Lightroom Classic Desktop App. However, the issue is slightly different.. I see some changes and ratings that I made on some photos on iPhone and iPad, but I see no changes nor ratings on other other photos. Out of 270 synced photos I made changes to 100 (all changes were made on iPhone or iPad), but I see in the Desktop app only 50 edited photos. I checked the other 50 and tried to do the Force sync, but did not work. I experienced this also before but this was an issue just to one or two photos so I edited them again and did not look for the solution. Thanks

I have also been experiencing this same issue for 4 months now. I've spent countless hours on the phone and through email trying to deal with Adobe support. They have been unsuccessful at fixing the issue. They don't even return my phone calls half the time. I've tried every Fox that I've seen on the internet, but nothing works reliably.

Honestly, I gave up on syncing with my iPad or iphone and stick to LR Classic on my laptop only. 🤷🏼:female_sign:

I've been having similar issues for around a year now, it's getting beyond ridiculous. Every time I bring photos into Lightroom Classic and add them to a collection, they sync absolutely fine to the mobile app. However, any edits made within the mobile app do not sync back to Lightroom Classic. I've spent hours talking to Adobe Support and had them remotely connected to my desktop without them being able to solve the issue.
The only fix I have found is to completely rebuild the sync data, but this takes hours and having to do this every single time I make edits in the mobile app is quite frankly ridiculous. It's a serious flaw within the LR product suite and needs addressing!

The changes happen every where apart from lightroom classic on the desktop...

Optimize catalog on your computer. Go to file then optimize catalog. This resolved the issue for me.

No this doesn't fix the issue. As I've stated the issue is syncing back to classic. All my edits show in Lightroom CC and if I access lightrooom mobile
on my phone or iPad all the edits show perfect. But classic I have to constant redo edits. No matter if I flag them on my computer in classic or not. It's been one of the worst and frustrating experiences I've had with any software period. Every time classic gets a update it throws off the sync. I pay too much a year for software that I spend hours upon hours redoing work I did on my iPad

This did not work for me. I upgraded my computer in april to a macbook pro. Everytime there's an updated to lightroom classic I have this issue on now two different computers. All the edits show on the lightroom.adobe.com site and on my phone and ipad via lightroom mobile. It's been 3 years of this. The only reason I have'nt switched is because capture one does'nt have a good mobile app. I already use davinci for video edits. if another program comes out with a mobile soilution that is better that adobe I'm leaving all of adobe products.

I'm sorry @greule , I don't really know what your answer means, and I think it's important. Are you saying that edits in Lightroom mobile only upload to the cloud when you navigate back to grid view, and that swiping between images in edit mode stops them from syncing?

I'm having the reverse issue: I download photos from my camera directly into a new folder in my Lightroom desktop app. I delete ¾ of the photo dump out of the album and library, then edit the rest. When I access the album via my phone app, I see all the deleted photos and the remaining are in their original state. I'm updated on laptop and phone. I need to export my photos to my desktop, then email them to myself and download into my phone's photo album. Given the phone app was free and I'm paying a hefty monthly fee for the larger desktop screen, it's tempting to go back to the phone only and just project onto my tv. I admit, I did not expect to see that there was no fix or successful support for this issue

Has there been any updates or fic for this yet??? I'm STILL having this issue and it's bringing my workflow to a slow crawl which is really unaccecpatable for an app who's main purpose for the editing and syncing of photos

I was frustrated by this issue for a long time as well until I found a workaround. Edits in my mobile app were not reflected in LR CC -- when I checked on their sync status in the mobile app it would say they are syncing, with a spinner, forever. Except not forever. Eventually they were reflected in the cloud. I figured out the user action that is necessary is to close the mobile app (Android). Once I do that the edits are reflected in the cloud, and when I reopen the mobile app I see I am "Synced and Backed Up". If this is still an issue for you I suggest trying that until Adobe fixes this bug.

I don't think anyone at Adobe is listening, I'm still having the exact same problems I had over a year ago. Sync performance between the mobile app and Classic is terrible, I literally have to rebuild my entire sync data every time I make any edits in the mobile app for them to carry over to Classic (some sync and some don't, so it does work, it just doesn't work properly!). This really needs sorting as the user experience is dreadful!!

exact same issue for freaking months! I was excited to see over thanksgiving that one of my recent weddings was reflecting on my ipad. Took it with me over the weekend to complete some edits... 16 hours of work wasted. Nothing reflects on classic, now I have to re edit each photo in order to export for the client. When the heck will Adobe get their act together?
The only reason I haven't gone with any competitors is for the potentiality of a mobile sync which makes my business run smoother. At this time, Capture one is looking much more enticing.

I'm having the same issue and came here looking to see if anyone had a solution (which unfortuantely no one does) - however, I'm commenting in case it helps you @WJSPhoto - I had the same issue of working on galleries during the thanksgiving break on just my iPad and having all that work not sync to LR classic. I found one very ridiculous but slightly less time consuming work around. I used Lightroom CC to access the work I had done over the weekend (for some reason LR CC is syncing fine to my computer but not lightroom classic) and from there, I exported the files as DNGs. I opened a NEW (important that its new) LR Classic catalog and imported those DNGs so I could have access to the edits I made for each photo. I then moved all the DNGs to a different folder (through Finder, not inside of Lightroom) so that I could prompt LR to give me the missing image error message. And then instead of reconnecting them to the DNGs, I connected them to the original RAW file. This made it so that i could export full resolution files from Lightroom Classic with all the edits I had worked on from over the weekend. It's a pain in the ass way around it but if it saves you hours of re-editing, it's worth a shot.

Ive had this issue for 2 years now. It works fine for a few months and then it stops. I've call support twice with no resolution. I've emailed, asked for superviosrs, still no resolution. Everything shows fine on adobe.lightroom.com but classic only a 3rd of the edits show. its beyond frustrating now. Once Capture one gets a better mobile app I'm switching. Paying for this software isnt worth it anymore. They add all these features just to not fix the one issues people are calling to be fix. FIX THE DAMN SYNC BETWEEN MOBILE AND CLASSIC!!!
