Lightroom not opening. Says other app using catalogue

I cannot open Lightroom because it says another program is using the catalogue, but I have no other program open. I think I must have mistakingly updated Lightroon, which I think has done this but I was trying to avoid it because I knew I'd get problems. Can anyone help please?

Thanks a bunch. It's working now after I removed the .lrcat.lock file.
