Hi, is there a way that I can share a link or an album to my clients without having them create a lightroom account?

Yes, rather than "inviting" them by typing their email address, tap the clipboard next to the link at the top and then Mail and write them a message. As long as the gallery is set to "anyone can view" then they'll just be able to visit the link without signing in. The signing in bit is for private invitations.

Update 09/15/2025: Anonymous visitors can visit the album, but recently Adobe removed the option for them to comment or to like. To comment or like an image you must log in.

The question was not about likes and comments, just about visiting the album without having to sign in. That's still possible.

Ability to send back coment or like is integral part of viewing the album. That provide you feedback no other software can do. You just sort your LRC collection for Last coment time. Now it's gone.

Not anymore. Last LR update makes logging/creating to Adobe account mandatory if client wants to make a comment ok like.

also I checked with ChatGPT

it seems in LR shared album now require log in to Adobe for like/ It was not before
ChatGPT said:

Yes, that's correct: Adobe now requires users to be signed in with an Adobe ID in order to like or comment on photos in a shared Lightroom album—even if the album is publicly accessible via a link.

Here’s how Adobe’s documentation lays it out:

  • According to the Lightroom Share & Invite settings, when creating a shared album (on web, iOS, or Android), you can enable features such as “Allow comments and likes” for users.

  • However, in order to view albums via shared links, the user typically must sign in with an Adobe account to access the album at all—depending on how the sharing permissions are configured.

  • Specifically for “like/comment” actions: even if the album is set to “Anyone can view”, to leave a like or comment, the viewer needs to be signed in

So yes, compared to how things used to work (when you might have been able to “like” anonymously in some cases), Adobe has tightened things up. Now, liking and commenting in shared Lightroom albums requires an Adobe ID login.

@Vlad B is correct. I used a different browser to visit your link, so I was not logged in with that browser. It initially looks like I can comment, but when I tap on the comment icon, at the bottom it now says "Sign in to comment".

@Vlad B I think you should file a feature request (in the 'Ideas' section) to get back the anonymous comments and likes. Posting it here, in an old thread marked as correctly answered (and the answer is still correct) is not the way to get Adobe's attention for this issue in my opinion.
