Lightroom Shuts Down When Detecting Subject

The last several versions of Lightroom 6.4, 6.3, and 6.2 have been really unstable for me. In particular, it crashes almost every time I try to do subject/person detect. The problem is more pronounced when I am running other apps like premiere pro. It is also worse if I am "fast" with Lightroom, as in moving from one thing to another quickly. It's like it can't keep up.

I am on Windows 11, running an i7 and 64gb of ddr5 ram. Not overclocked.

The stability issues also show up a bit in Lightroom Classic, but not to the same degree.

These performance issues also correspond to my installing the Photoshop Beta with generative AI. I have uninstalled it, and the problem persisted, however.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

Note: this is likely a video driver issue. Please check with your Video Card Manufacturer for an update.

Your information is flawed. I have sent dozens of crash reports from this same email address and account. Literally dozens. I just updated my video card driver yesterday and it still happened. The driver is a nvidia 3080. This should not be happening.

The next time you send a crash report, please screenshot it and post it here before you send it.

Thank you.
