Lightroom sometimes crashes during photo merge or exporting images

Question

I think this is a performance issue, either merging images for HDR or panorama will result in Lightroom consuming nearly 100% of my CPU, Lr then goes to the greyed-out state and a "not responding" message will display on the top of the window.

This wasn't an issue on previous versions of Lr and I'm using the same PC.

Most of my CPU is also being used when exporting images, this slows the whole system to a point that even my music player starts to lag, I am completely unable to browse through other windows until Lr finishes any process.

Your description does not sound like a crash but rather an application hang.

Regardless: We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?
