Lightroom won't open

I am trying to open my lightroom and it only shows for a second and won't open. Photoshop seems to be working fine. Any ideas why lightroom won't open?

We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom. Would you mind sharing the version of Lightroom you are using along with your computers operating system?

 

Have you tried to uninstall and re-install Lightroom to check if that helps? You can try resetting the preferences of Lightroom by pressing and holding the Shift + Option + Delete keys (on Mac) or Shift + Alt keys (on Windows). While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom.
