Lost all my photos, import button missing, can't import at all. Windows app

After using LR for years, today when I wanted to work with some photos, Lightroom did not start as it should and every time showed message about connection error. At the same time, my Photoshop was working without any issue.

My filmstrip is empty, can't import new photos (no import button, shortcut isn't working), reinstalling the app did not help.

I want to keep my photos locally without being forced to copy them to cloud (which, in this case, doesn't work either)

I can't check the menus because I type this on my iPad, but I notice that you are in Local mode. Local mode edits images without importing them. It just shows the content of the selected folder, so most likely a folder is currently selected that does not contain any images.

The same thing happens with cloud. "Add photos" button is inactive.

Additionally, when I check the preferences, application is stuck on calculating my cloud storage.

All the photos from several years are gone

Please make sure you are logged into the correct account.  I see a subscribed account associated with the email you are using in this forum.  You can confim by logging into lightroom.adobe.com as well.

This is the only account I'm using. I always stored all my files locally and in my cloud account I see photos from 2022.

The app looks like it's offline but I changed absolutely nothing in my network settings. It just happened.

I have the same problem. Where did the import button go?

If it helps, I was using Lightroom Cloud, which is different from Lightroom classic. I find it confusing having two versions of the same software.

@giuseppet30975493 It looks like you have both a personal and an institutional license. If you log in as an institutional user, you will not see your personal account, which is where your images may be located.

I can't even log out in the application, as this window appears:

And I was using the same account for years without any changes/issues. It just happened few days ago and I can't do anything about it (and yet my account will be charged the higher price for the subscription that I can't even fully use).

@mateusz_5618  Your storage is full. You would need to reduce the items in the cloud or purchase additional storage.

I did not ever want to use the cloud tbh. I was just processing photos on my computer and after the issue appeared, everything is lost.

It does seem like you are having a network access issue.  Can you confirm that you see your account if you login via browser at lightroom.adobe.com?

Yes, I already confirmed this. I'm logged in to the same account that is visible in my desktop app. On the same computer which I use to browse the internet and write all these comments.
