LR 3.6 crashes on import

My LR 3.6 has started to crash when I am trying to import.

I have tried importing from SD card and now from the Documents folder...still crashing.

any advice please?

What operating system are you using on your computer? And are you referring to Lightroom for the cloud or are you referring to the ancient Lightroom 3.6?
