LR making pics blurry

I recently upgraded to Lightroom 10. In the develop module, I'll go to edit a photo by clicking on it, and initially it looks sharp for 1-2 seconds after clicking on it  but then it suddenly turns soft looking. What is causing this? 

When I zoom in, it is in fact sharp and in focus. And I'm not in soft proof mode.
