LR on iOS disregards "auto import from Camera roll" setting

Some version of LR seems to have defaulted to "Auto-import from Camera roll", resulting in the 2GB of space was promptly filled. I already have all these photos in Apple's iCloud service, and would like to only import select images from my Camera roll, and do that manually. So I checked the settings and turned off all auto-import sliders.

Yet, next time I start up LR (after having shot new photos on the phone) the first thing it does is to start inporting my new photos! Setting checked, it is set to "don't auto import". (This was after a force quite and restart of LR on iPad AND on iPhone - same code, same bug I guess.)

I now have a huge job of deleting stuff from that LR catalog in order to "free up space". The 2GB free space is sufficient for any work in progress I'd like to share across devices, but I don't want LR to automatically fill that space with photos I have securely stored elsewhere.

Thanks Johan, but that was not it either. None of the albums had this setting switched to "on". I have only 16 photos across three albums, and just below 3500 images in "All photos". I still think this a bug. However, will perform the ancient voodoo ritual of delete and reinstall.

There are two places where auto-import can be set, so perhaps that is the problem. First, you can set this is the Settings. That is what no doubt you turned off. But you can also set it for an album (tap on the three dots behind the album name), so perhaps  one of your albums has this option turned on?
