Migrating LR-5 catalogue to LR-CC without LR-5 access

Hi, I lost access to my LR-5 due to an operating systems update. Now on LR-CC, the mirate catalogue function is inactive. I cannot resolve issues with the catalogue in LR-5 and I cannot take the intermediate step of LR-classic (both recommended elsewhere for such problems). Thanks for any helpful hints, Hinrich

Yes. If you take the Photography Plan with Lightroom Classic, then all you need to do is open your old LR5 catalog in Lightroom Classic and let it upgrade the catalog.

You can't migrate a Lightroom 5 catalog, it needs to be upgraded anyway. So download a trial version of Lightroom Classic, upgrade the catalog with that and you should be good to go.

Thanks, Johan, I talked to an Adobe support person and got the same advice. I had also read that suggestion in an older post. I thought that it was outdated because I didn't realise that there currently are different versions of LR in the different Adobe bundles. I had gone for the version with 1 TB cloud storage and that one is incompatible with LR-5 catalogues (as you say). I understand that the LR that comes in the current "Photography Bundle" is LR classic and hopefully will accept the old develop settings. I appreciate that you took the time to help.
