Missing photos

I woke up this morning and opened Lightroom and all my pictures were gone.. years worth of photos gone and I didn't even touch the app or do anything different that would make such a change.. I doubt this can be fixed but is threre a way that this doesn't happen again cause I literally did nothing with my app....

Hi, 

Are you using Lightroom CC or Lightroom mobile? 

Ive come to edit one of my recent uploads and found that my photos from the last shoot have also vanished from Lightroom on my iPad. They're not even in the deleted folder either.  I wonder if something in the latest Lightroom update caused this?

Lightroom Mobile is what I'm using and I'm going through the same thing but it deleted me whole gallery 😕 and it was definitely the update.
