dear all,

I just found out that the linear mask tool has no handle to control rotation after 1st release of the mask.

Is this a bug of the versione recently rleased or it's just me ?

I do not have this issue in LRC 13.0.1 though.

thank you for your advice,

eric

Do you see any guides at all for the tool?

Normally, rotation works off the center guideline. Mouse over it slightly left or right of the center, and a rotation cursor should appear.

thank you Rikk for addressing my concern so promptly

attaching 2 screen shots from LR and LRC

1st) no handle once you release the mask

2nd) the handle is always there when you come back to re-edit the same mask

I don't understand what you are attempting to demonstrate.
Classic has handle - Desktop does not correct?

Your first screenshot shows Classic, which does have a handle.
Your second screenshot does not and, appears from the tool design, to be desktop.

I do not recall Lightroom Desktop ever having a separate rotation control.

you are correct

I would love to be able to rotate a linear mask once it has been released (ie. deployed) shoiuld I change my mind on its' effect

and I realize I can rotate it as mcuh as I wish while deploying it the first time BUT not thereafter

with LRC this insetad it's always possible

therefore I wonder how you may achieve the rotation of a linear mask afterwards in LR

thank you again

Using your screenshot a guide, place your cursor to the left or right of the blue graduated icon on the center line and slide it along the line until the cursor changes to a rotation cursor, rotate to your desired angle.  This works even if you come back later.

Hello again

have another question:

I know how to watermark photos in LR

but I understand it can be done only during the export process

how can I watermark all the photos contained within an Album whose link I will share afterwards ?

thank you

eric
