Hello everyone,
My name is Danish Subair, and today I want to share my journey with complete honesty and gratitude.
I started my creative life working in the film industry as an associate cinematographer. My world revolved around movie sets, cameras, and storytelling. But when COVID arrived, everything stopped overnight. Productions were cancelled, the industry froze, and I became completely jobless for nearly one and a half years.
During that time, I had almost nothing to depend on. I struggled to earn even the equivalent of 60 dollars a month, just enough to survive. It was one of the darkest phases of my life. I had no studio, no equipment, no backup plan. The only thing I had left was my Android phone and Lightroom Mobile.
With no other option, I started learning, experimenting, and creating presets on that small screen every single day. I didn’t know where it would lead, but I kept moving. Step by step, people started noticing my style. Photographers began buying my presets. My community grew. My work became trusted.
What came next was something I never expected.
My customers became repeat buyers. And over time, those repeat buyers became the biggest part of my earnings. People kept returning for every new pack, every update, every color idea I released. That loyalty changed everything for me.
Soon, I started experiencing something I never imagined in my life. When I travelled to different places, photographers would come to meet me like I was a film star. They brought gifts. They welcomed me with respect. They took care of me. And for a moment, I felt what actors feel when fans come running toward them. It was overwhelming, emotional, and unforgettable.
All of this happened because of Lightroom Mobile, consistency, and the support of people who believed in my work. Today, from earning almost nothing during the pandemic, I now earn over 3,500 dollars per day through Colour Store. My presets have reached more than 10,000 photographers, and my community stands stronger than ever.
And the reason I am sharing this today is because this is the fifth anniversary of Colour Store. Five years ago, I was a small village boy trying to survive. Today, I stand here with gratitude, pride, and responsibility, carrying a brand that changed my life.
My journey is proof that even with a phone and determination, a person can rebuild everything. Whatever I have today came from struggle, consistency, and the support of thousands of photographers who stood with me.
With gratitude,
Danish Subair
