My photos won't export with the edits I've made?

I'm trying to export a photo that I've edited, and every time the edits (image crop, colour/temp masking) do not save. It just saves as the original, unedited photo. I'm aware that this is an option when saving, but I have not once clicked that and only chosen small or large JPEG. Even when clicking custom export settings, the preview of the image changes from the edited to the unedited version. Please, any help?

I am having the same exact issue and cannot find a solution anywhere on the internet. It happens randomly to some photos and not others. I think its a bug in the software that noone knows how to fix. If someone out there knows please help!
