Bug Report – “Denoise” Option Missing After Update
Description:
After updating Lightroom to version 8.4 arm64 [20250603-0500-10f89fb] (June 2, 2025) on macOS, the Denoisefeature is no longer available. The option that previously appeared under the Detail panel in the Edit module has disappeared completely.
This feature was working prior to the update.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open Lightroom version 8.4 on macOS 15.5.
Import or open any RAW image.
Go to the Edit panel → Detail section.
Attempt to use the Denoise function (previously available in the top right corner of the Detail panel).
The Denoise option is missing.
Expected Behavior:
The Denoise (AI) feature should be available for supported RAW files, as it was before the update.
Actual Behavior:
The Denoise option is no longer visible or accessible.

I do a lot of shooting at high ISO (even with a 2.8 lens). I used to batch use "enhance" a lot for 7 or 8 pics at a time. Enhance is no longer in the Photo menu. Now it appears that I can only denoise one pic at a time. Please show me how to batch denoise with 8.4, or PLEASE return the batch enhance feature. One at a time is TERRIBLE when you have 100 pics to denoise. avsafety@bellsouth.net

Hi @BRUCE28461361nn3h, Welcome to the Lightroom Community Forums! In Lightroom Desktop, your two options for batch editing are:
1. Copy/Paste
2. Presets
Lightroom Desktop does not have Sync, Auto-Sync, or Previous. You can check out the conversation about Batch Denoise in Lightroom Classic community board here: https://adobe.ly/3G7vLVZ.
I hope this helps! ^CH

Hi, with the new update, how do I denoise/enhance ALL the photos at once?
I have about 300 photos to enhace. Before the update I selected "enhace" and it did it for all the phots. Now it seems like I can only do it one by one.

I have LR ver 8.4 on my desktop computer. I recently purchased a Macbook Air M4 with Mac OS 15.5.
When I logged into lightroom on my new Mac I was able to get all my photos and what not but evidently it must be a different version then whats on my desktop as it does not contain the Denoise feature.
My question is, do I need to delete the LR on my Mac and reload a different version of Lightroom for my laptop in order to get the Denoise feature?

I recently purchased a Macbook air M4 laptop. I already have lightroom (Not Classic) on my desktop PC.
When I logged in to my Lightroom account on my new Mac it downloaded everything but did not include the denoise feature. It only contains a noise reduction slider that does absolutely nothing! It functions exactly like my lightroom on my Ipad pro tablet, again with a slider but no Denoise box.
And yes I have the latest versions on all of my devices. Is this feature just not available on Macs?

Please post a proper screenshot, not a photo of your screen. And please show the whole screen, not just a small corner. It looks like you may be using Lightroom web, rather than the Lightroom application.

You only use it on one computer, your Mac. iPhones and iPads are not computers, so they don't count. Your screenshot looks very odd to me. The window looks like this is not the Lightroom application, but Lightroom in a web browser. The menu bar suggests it should be the application, however. Can you post a screenshot of the dialog you get when you choose 'Help - System Info'? Please do not attach the screenshot, but insert it in your post, using this button:

H'm. I think you may have installed the "Lightroom Browser App" from the Lightroom website version. Here's a screenshot of what I see when I install that app from within Lightroom web running in Google Chrome. To be honest, I had never seen it before! The menu is slightly different (I don't have a 'Help' menu), but it does look very much like your screenshot.
This is not Lightroom 8.4 however, but a Google Chrome app showing the Lightroom web version. Maybe different browsers can do this and install slightly different versions, I don't know. You need to install Lightroom 8.4. from the Creative Cloud app. This is what that app looks like:

Well, this is getting more confusing as I go along. I have Lightroom on my PC, that where i originally purchased it.
I do all my photo editing on my PC and have for several years. I recently purchased a Macbook Air M4 and wanted to be able to do editing on this laptop when im on the road as my PC is a desktop unit. All I did was go on Lightroom on my new Mac, logged into my account and this is what downloaded to my Mac. Im not sure how to download another version without purchasing another subscription. Its too bad Lightroom doesnt provide tech support rather then having to ask customers their ideas and opinions as it becomes somewhat of a guessing game.

That is how you got the wrong (web app) version installed. What you need to do is install Adobe Creative Cloud app, log into that app and then you'll see the applications that belong to your account and can be installed. https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html

Ok, thanks for all the suggestions. I was finally able to access my account through the creative cloud app.
But here was the problem, when the creative cloud installer pops up requesting your password, its NOT asking for your Adobe or lightroom password it wants your COMPUTER password. Unfortunately is doesnt specify such. Had to call tech support to figure that one out.
