P: New Lightroom Mobile Interface changes (accessing own albums) comments

Anyone else is annoyed by the new interface? I don't want to start in "all photos" the old start page was fine and I could quickly select the correct album I wanted to use/show.

Now I have to open a menu, scroll past a whole page of items I'm never going to use "my edits, unedited, imports" and others I rarely use "recyble bin, people, shared" until I can see my album structure (that I regulary use). Back button is exiting the app instead of going to the main page (that does not exist anymore). Additionally that drop down list always starts on the top, while the old album list returned me to the exact position I came from (if its a long list of albums). Just super annoying.

Also a privacy issue, when starting LR now it just shows whatever is on top in "all photos" before I could just start it and navigate to a specific album without reavling anything.

How do things like this make it through testing? Why don't you do something usefull, like allowing shared album user access to the star rating system?

I quickly glanced at the new edit interface but immediately switched back to the old one as I realized I have to do more clicks to open stuff that was previously just available.

I miss the old version where edits and non edits were all in one page separated by the date you imported them. So you could hide a certain date if you weren't using those pictures.

To see edits and non-edits all in one page seperated by the date you imported them, choose Imports from the top dropdown menu in the Lightroom/My edits tab. The album should from now on be sticky, unless you change it again.

  • The recent update and look to LR mobile is horrible.  Tap, tap, tap to get to my albums when i loved it the way it was.  Please go back Or make a choice to go back to the previous  look and just keep the feature updates

And of course there are bugs, stuff not sycning, photos stored under the wrong date on some devices. And that was after using it 5 minutes.

New updated Lightroom mobile (Android) opens automatically to My Edits when I open the app, however I want to open to the folder or album of my choice. Currently don't see how to change that preference.

Hello @ダグラス23048284stky

The views you use should be "sticky," meaning that if you leave the app in while in a specific album or view, resuming the app should return you to the same view. I do this is true for iOS even after force-quit and relaunch. I see LR Android is also sticky when you simply switch between apps, but does return users to My Edits after fully exiting and relaunching the app.  I'll ask the team if that can be improved.

"my edits"  or a previously used album is also not a useful starting point.

Usful as a starting point is my album and folders where I placed frequently used ones one the top level album/folder structure.

What I rarly use (all that "my edits, unedited, imports, recyble bin, people, shared" stuff) should be at the bottom.

And if the latest import was a nude shooting I probably don't want that to pop up right when I start the software if I want to show someone something else.
