Photos edited with Sync Paused disappear from Album

I'm having a similar issue with JUST desktop version of lightroom CC.  I had paused sync, placed 12K images in an album, began editing and now the application is indicating the album is empty in the main window but the album list still shows 12,344 images...  What gives?

@scottestey moved the topic to a new thread to make sure that we don't mix these issues up.

Have you tried to see what happens if you reenable sync?
It is not clear if you have finished syncing all data from the cloud to the desktop version.
In case sync isn't done, this could be the reason for this issue.

It would be great to know which version you are experiencing this issue on.

I ended up ending my relationship with that product and moved to Lightroom
Classic. The issue had to due with sync'ing and not having enough space...

At the time I was using the latest version of Lightroom Cloud.

It could be that you are still syncing?
If you tap on the cloud icon, what does it say?

So as I indicated, I paused syncing and was working on post processing some photos when this occurred....  Why would this happen in this instance is the question I'm looking for an answer to.  Syncing shouldn't have anything to do with local copies of files, no?
