pictures import format from Photos App

Hi!

I have an issue that I cannot solve. When I import pictures in RAW (CR2 from Canon) from the Photo App into lightroom, the format switches automatically to jpeg.

Does anyone have an idea why and how to fix it?

Hi Fred. I think it’s an Apple limitation. You can export un-modified originals from the Photos app to the desktop and import them.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I just tried and once on the desktop the format is jpeg. 😞 I'll try to import the pictures directly from the CF card without going through the Photos App. thanks!
