pixelated images

Hello, since the last update when i download images onto my i pad they are very pixelated. It is making editing almost nearly impossible.

How large (in pixels) are these photos? You zoomed in a lot, so sooner or later that will cause pixelation to show. How are these pictures 'downloaded' to the iPad? And check that Lightroom does not just keep a smart preview locally if you want to zoom in that much. That would also explain it.

24mp downloaded with a card reader and sandisk sd card. This is the original not a smart preview and are visible without being zoomed in. This is a new issue as I did not have this problem with the volleyball game I shot 2 weeks ago. It makes it difficult to reduce noise and clarity in the photos when editing.

You are zoomed in quite a bit - you can reduce noise at 100%.

I am zoomed in to show the issue. The photos are still pixelated when all the way zoomed out which makes it impossible to even see the noise to remove it.
