Hi, I got a new device, logged in via my Adobe account and in LR all Presets are gone but photos are synced, for PS all Actions are gone, but photos are there.

Could you assist? Shouldn't it sync automatically?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. We are here to help. If you can clarify a few things for me, we can get to the bottom of this.

Could you please confirm the version of Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop that you are using on the new machine and the version of the operating system? Have you recently imported any new images in Lightroom from the new machine? Do you still have access to the previous machine where you had actions and presets?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Adobe Lightroom stores its database & presets on the cloud that you can find by logging in to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) and check the presets which are available on the cloud. If you find any presets on the cloud, you can try to sign out and sign in again on the new machine to make the presets sync again.

While Photoshop does have presets sync for some of its types of presets, Actions, for now, do not sync. Check here to learn more: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/sync-presets.html

Suppose you still have access to the previous/source co. In that case, you can try to recover presets & actions from Photoshop and Lightroom by exporting them out of the application and importing them back on the new computer. Check the below-mentioned article for further help.

In Lightroom > Right Click on preset > Export Preset.

Migrate Presets & Actions in Photoshop:https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

We hope this helps,

Thanks!

Sameer K

Sure:

Old Device: Apple MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) 16GB DE / MACOS Monterey 12.2.1.

New Devie: Apple MacBook Pro 13" M1 - 16GB DE / MACOS Monterey 12.2.1.

Sure Export from Old Device and Import to new does the trick, but I signed up for the cloud version to avoid exactly such things ;-).

Logging into LR Cloud and trying to access the Presets just shows me and endless spinning wheel, but nothing is loaded.
