Problems uploading from my Nikon D850

I'm just back from an overseas trip and trying to upload photos from my D850 and Lightroom CC doesn't seem to want to upload them. I'm using a card reader and it is uploading just fine from the cards in my D750

Any thoughts --cant call customer support on the weekends

Have you updated to Lightroom Classic CC?

If not launch Creative Cloud and go to the Apps Tab

Install the latest version Lr Classic 7.2

Help us out here. Is it 1.2 or 7.2? Is it Lightroom Classic CC or Lightroom Classic? It can't be both 1.2 and Classic.

Go to the menu:

Help >> Updates

In the CC Apps tab do you see “Open” next to LRCC

If so click the open button to launch the app from CC.

What do you get when you launch Creative Cloud?

Which Lightroom do you REALLY want, Lightroom CC or Lightroom Classic CC? It appears that you have Lightroom CC installed. Is that what you want?

I get this without the right too Classic --I have CC

my problem is when I open and then go to add photos after its open it recognizes the card  in the reader shows on the list of choices Nikon D850 but when I click all I get is the whirling circle

Help >> About LR CC and confirm the build number.

What is the error message you get? Please quote the exact complete unedited word-for-word error message.

I dont get an error message the circle just keeps spinning. At first I thought they files were just large and it was taking a while but after an hour and  half still spinning
