Question about Moving Photos in the New Local Tab

I typically do all my edits on a local hard drive and then once I'm done I move the folder to a NAS for long term storage (after syncing my favorites to the Lr Cloud).

Is it better to move the folder within Lr's local browser or is it just as good to move the folder in the Finder outside of Lr?

I can't figure out if Lr is following those photos or will be annoyed when it doesn't see them if I move from the Finder.

I'm hoping the answer is "it doesn't make a differece in Lr".

Thanks,

David

If you move the files with Finder, Lr will have no knowledge of where the files went.

But does that matter in Lr (I know it would've matter in LrC)?

At the moment, Lr's Local tab is a file browser, so if you move the files, Lr won't really care. But it won't automatically know where you've moved them. I suppose (re-reading your original question), no, Lr isn't "following" them, so won't be upset that they have been moved.
