"Folder cannot be opened because you do not have permission to see its content."

Lightroom can't access files on my disc or on an external drive either. When I try to open them in Lightroom I get: "Folder cannot be opened because you do not have permission to see its content." I have permission to see that content with Photoshop, with Capture One, with Preview etc. I've gone into the permissions on the folders in my Mac and made sure they're unlocked and "everyone" has read + write access... I've gone into my Privacy and Security in my OS settings and granted full disk access to Lightroom... I don't know what else to do.

Oh I think it was just learning to click on the folder icon in the top left corner of Lightroom.

well I've fixed the problem... how the heck do I take my post down!?

please tell the fix. i have granted full disk access asw but no luck.
