Raw NEF files from nikon z7ii

  • Hi all. I have a new nikon z7 ii. New sd card, new apple mac. It takes 2 minutes to upload a single photo from my apple to LR. I'm using raw NEF files. Any help, this will drive me crazy.

Hey, @Cleave_1969. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. 

 

Are you using a USB hub? Do you have another SD card to check if the issue still exists? Please move the images to the internal drive and check if they appear as expected when you import.

Hi. This evening I tried a brand new SanDisk card reader, exact same speed, a minute thirty for one photo. I tried a new sd card freshly formatted with 1 photo on it , same result. I tried a cf express card from my camera direct from card reader into LR, same result. I tried loading a photo into the Apple mac file first then moving it from there to LR, even slower. I took a photo with the apple mac tablet camera, that took seconds to upload into LR. Clearly LR still does not like raw NEF nikon files. What am I too do... 6k in the hole on gear and one photo takes forever???
