Re: Since the Update to 7.4.1 i've been having major issue.

As of two weeks ago, I could open Lightroom (downloaded and installed on Mac OS X 12.7.5), then with the Cloud tab selected, you will see the "Add some photos" panel to the right. I could drag any black and white photo from Finder onto the panel, and it would then enable the "Add items" button, upper right. Pressing that would commence the upload of the file to Lightroom.

As of 2.4.1 (within the past two weeks), this no longer works. I suspect there is a backend issue at Adobe Cloud that is prohibiting upload/opening of images.

I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling 2.4.1. Same problem.

I tried going back to 2.3.0, same problem. (This is why I think the engineers screwed the back end up, because even older versions manifest the issues).

It's only with black and white photos (16 bit or 8 bit). They ALL fail to import and the UI says, "Unsupported file type or corrupt file", and I know to file is NOT corrupt, I have verified this using a third party app.

same issue here. At first I thought it was the whole interface, but after testing it seems as if it's just when adding photos. Completely bricks the program.

    I'm running LR 7.4.1 on a Windows 11 laptop with an i7-9750h & 32GB of RAM + RTX 2060

Are there any phones or tablets hooked up to the computer when you go to Add Photos?

It's solved now on my end. I believe it had to do with when they rolled out the new Terms, got backlash, and then adjusted the terms to only apply to items stored on the cloud. Looks like they rushed the roll out the local storage/cloud storage options and it was buggy.

And by the way, you should tell your engineers to stop using eventual consistency in the backend. Or tell management to hire real engineers who know how to build distributed systems, at scale. My God, so many bugs and issues with Adobe Cloud. Adobe should really be embarrassed.
