I hate the new 9 version on iOS. Is there a way to get back the 8.x version ?

They really need to roll back this UI update. It's abysmal. It's incredibly clear that this update did not go through any real testing with actual professional photographers and editors. It's embarrassing how bad it is, honestly.

Came here to say the same thing. This latest update is TERRIBLE. The UI sucks. It now takes up half of the screen, so you can't even see the photo you are editing. It's not intuitive at all, and things are difficult to find. The lack of space to view the photo really is crazy though. Unless you are moving a slider, you can't even see what you're working on. The new sliders are total garbage too. They now slide if you put your finger anywhere on the adjustment bar, so every time I am scrolling up and down the adjustment list, I end up moving sliders by accident and changing my settings. So I'm constantly having to hit the undo button. The old slider where you actually had to use the round slider (rather than just touching anywhere on the bar) was far better. So many flaws with this new UI. Plus it is insanely slow. The old UI never slowed down my phone, but the new one is so resource hungry that it causes my phone to lag.

I knew this new UI was junk from the moment it was previewed in the app. I figured they would make changes, as it was so apparent. I hope they go back to the old UI asap. It was far more intuitive and easy to use. This new one is an absolute mess. If they want to fix something, it should be the brush. I can mask things perfectly inside of Snapseed, yet can barely control the brush in LrM.

Got to love Adobe.] support. In response to my "waste of time" "Support" call to go through the charade of turning Bluetooth off, then deleting Lightroom 9.2.2 for iPad to "fix" the issue with brush masking, I received an email telling me to revert to the earlier version. Yeah, that would fix it, if it were possible. Wow. I use Evernote and I'm often annoyed at the all-too-frequent updates, but maybe Adobe could take a single page from Evernote's playbook: When you've screwed up a core feature (Adobe: In case none of you use the iPad, use of the Apple Pencil for editing is THE reason why many of us get an iPad and *use* Lightroom), you just might want to release an immediate update to fix that core feature before people go off looking for alternatives to your entire photo editing/storage ecosystem instead of putting such a core feature into a cue with other features (undoubtedly more evolutionary AI) that will be outdated upon release. Sorry, Adobe. I can still spot AI. Even yours. RELEASE THIS UPDATE!
