Result of clone/stamp tool is dark

I'm trying to use the clone/stamp tool in Lightroom and I'm getting a result that doesn't make sense to me. I am new to the clone/stamp tool in the cloud-based Lightroom, and I hope I'm just missing something.

Here is the result of my clone/stamp:

As you can see the result is darker than the source. Am I misunderstanding the intent of the clone/stamp tool in cloud-based Lightroom? Is there a blending mode somewhere I'm missing?
