Question

Searching after keywords does not work

Good Evening to all

I am Using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (V7.1.2). I started to "tag" my images/pictures with keywords. (As I am using it in german, it is called "Stichwörter") My idea behind the thing is, if I search for as example for a person, i can find all picture of that person, which have the "keyword".

My folder structre on my NAS is like following

-Images
--Images of Africa Vacation 2018
--Images of USA Vacation 2019
etc.

When i now search in the Folder "Images of Africa Vacation 2018" it finds the picture, which i expect it should find. But if i search after the same keyword on the folder "images", it founds nothing. (as it would not search thrugh subfolders) But thats exactly what i would need. Any Idea what i am doing wrong or how i could "activate" that "function"?

Thanks for your reply.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

1. Make sure the menu item Library > Show Photos In Subfolders is checked.

2. If that doesn't help, please post a full-resolution screenshot of the ENTIRE LR window after you've tried to search the Images folder. That will show us most of the details we need to answer your question.

I have attached a screenshot of my lightroom as you wished. after a search for my name as example. If i would make the same search in a subfolder, it works fine. For the files I made keywords, lightroom generats xmp-files
