Issue: Lightroom

  • Lightroom Version Number: Lightroom version: 5.2 x64 [ 20220128-1049-86119e0 ] (Jan 28 2022)
  • OS Version Number: Windows 10 Pro

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create album in either desktop or web version
  2. Upload jpegs from photographer
  3. Share album
  4. When you view the shared album link from a Windows PC browser (Chrome, Edge, & Firefox), the large image displays distorted panorama image.

Expected result: Lightroom should display large size image of thumbnail
Actual result: Lightroom shows image as spherical panorama and a control for panning around appears on bottom right next to maximize / minimize buttons.

Hello Adobe Helpdesk-

Has anyone experienced this issue or know of a work around?

I did discover an unsual item in the raw data of the image file.

It shows <GPano:ProjectionType>equirectangular</GPano:ProjectionType>.  How do you turn this feature off in the metadata in Lightroom Classic?  Our photographer does not create any panoramas for our company.  Is there a special symbol like # in #1 that would automatically embed the projection type?  The photographer does input metadata with tags and keywords along with her copyright and contact info.

Please help!!!  I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

We use Lightroom Cloud system to ONLY do image approvals where we share an album that can be viewed on a web browser on any platform for comments and likes.

Thanks,

Lynn
