I've added photos and the entire app is running slow. The actions are taking more time between my initiated command (move to next photo, editing, zoom in/out, healing brush, masks) and the app response; which leads to me having to restart the app in hopes of "starting over," I feel like it's "thinking" too much. Not sure if it's the update, a bug, my internet or my computer. With other internet accessed devices, things seem to be normal. The same with accessing other apps/programs on my computer. Which is why I assume it is the Lightroom app itself.

Please advise on how to troubleshoot this issue.

General Slowness is sometimes related to a bad install:

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

  1. Close Lightroom
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
  4. Restart the computer
  5. Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
  6. Restart the computer
  7. Launch Lightroom
  8. Wait 5 minutes

If operations don't speed up, you can also try a preference file reset:

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop it can change the location of your local storage. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

I think the reinstall worked, but I will update if the delays return. Thank you so much for the reply!
