Storage Issues

I have a MacBook Air, and I keep getting a message in Lightroom that says "Macintosh HD" full. Clear storage.... essentially. I have done every trouble shooting solution I can find and nothing is working. I have an external hardrive, and I have changed the settings to have originals stored there. Everything on LR says I have GB or TB of storage, but it still says its full, and it is keeping me from editing photos. Any ideas??

This is quite a good thread to reference....

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/why-is-my-lr-cc-library-192gb/m-p/11105615

The customer ends up deleting the whole Library (it rebuilds from the cloud) but you should be able to delete the Originals folder (within the long numbered folder) without doing that... or at least the images in the Originals folder..

Also, I don't use external storage so wouldn't know how deleting the local library would

affect the copy of the originals on the external, so may best to wait for further advice before deleting the whole library.

Make sure any syncing to the Cloud is completed first though.

Then restart the app.

Have you also tried reducing the percentage of photo cache in Preferences - Local Storage? As the Cache and Library will always reside on the Main HD, this cannot be moved.

Yeah actually that is one of the first things I tried! I moved it down to 5% and it still does this!
