Syncing stuck forever once more time

Hi,

 

What is the permanent fix for Lightroom stuck on syncing? It's been like that since couple weeks and through different versions. I'm currently on 6.3.1. The syncing is running in a loop only on my desktop version - all other devices are OK. 

 

When I go to all pictures on my desktop and I look for photos still being synced, I get 0 results. The deleted folder is empty. I also tried checking "sync issues" in the web version with no luck (I simply don't have it). I removed the local cache which made no difference.

 

I expierenced in the past something similar, however I was able to find the pictures stuck on syncing. This time it's a bit different as I described above.

 

What else can I do? Please help.

If you go to Lightroom Desktops Preferences and select the Account section, hold down the [Opt] key and click the [Sync Issues Report]. This report will identify which assets might be stuck. If you can parse the report, identify an asset, then go to that image and perform a tiny edit to reset it (e.g. Exposure +.01) and then advance to the next image to commit the sync, does the sync eventually clear?

Thank you Rikk. While I'm able to generate the report, I can't find the picture that is listed under "Syncing and Error Assets". My deleted items folder is empty and I get no hits when I search in LR for "DS503945". How to find this asset?

If you are unable to find the asset in your Lightroom Desktop catalog, does it show in Web or a mobile device?


I was also having this issue. I got a black hole every time I searched for items syncing. Once I logged into the web version I clicked in the Sync issues folder - deleted everything there, and suddenly we are all fixed!! Thanks - this was driving me nuts.
