Unable to import photo files from SD card

Recently, when I try to import photo files into LR from an SD card I get following msg..." files could not be imported because they could not be read, or the destination folder is not writable".  My LR System Info says  my LR Version is CC 2015 10.1 [1117303] and and it shows my Operating system as Mac OS 10 Version 11.6.  However, I recently upgraded my OS to MacOS Big Sur Version 11.6. The problem with importing files happened around when I changed the OS but not sure if thats related, but highly suspect so. I'm on the monthly subscription so really want this to work.  Really need help. Thanks!!!

PS.  I also... followed the directions in the "Catalina thread. All the LR folders were checked.

Please post a screenclip of your System Info from the Menu: Help >System Info...

"CC 2015"  was the equivalent of Lightroom-6.

"10.1" was Lightroom-Classic.

So which is it?

"CC 2015" is not supported in Mac OS 11.6 BigSur.

If you are running a compatible version of LrC, then "or the destination folder is not writable" usually means exactly what is says, and you may need for set 'Permissions' to allow 'writing' (saving) of files.
