Unable to Update Lightroom on my Mac

I'm running Lightroom on my 2021 MacBook Pro, Apple M1 Pro Chip.  I'm running version 5.2 and it appears to be an Intel version, at least according to Adobe Creative Cloud. The Creative Cloud app also states that I'm "Up to date" even though the newest versions are above 6.0.  I can't update the app using Creative Cloud AND I've also tried to download a new version from the Adobe website.  Nothing works.  Beyond wanting to stay current, the raw format of my travel camera is NOT supported in the Lightroom version I have but it is supported in the newer versions.  Any ideas how to get on the current version and stay current? Thanks!!

Hey @Walter306198499sn0. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

In the Creative Cloud desktop app, go to Menu button > Help > About Creative Cloud (shown below) & share a screenshot of the resulting screen.

Firstly, you can refresh it by hitting Cmd + Opt + R. If update does not appear, try this:

  • In the Creative Cloud app, press CMD + OPT + T (macOS) to launch Creative Cloud Troubleshooter & select 'Close Creative Cloud and related processes' > click on Go.
  • macOS - In spotlight search > find KeyChain > Clear all entries, certificated & secure notes related to Adobe.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Sign in to Creative Cloud again and let me know if the error persists.

Thanks!

I’m guessing I have an old version of Creative Cloud because it does not look like I can follow your instructions from the interface I have. I did a screen shot of the About Creative Cloud as you asked, but I got there in a different way.

The below screen shot is what the app looks like on my screen.

I followed the rest of your instructions including clearing all entries in Keychain and re-starting the computer.  I also re-downloaded Creative Cloud.  I’m still in the same place: 5.2 Interl version of Lightroom and Creative Cloud saying Up to date.

The Apps tap shows Lr as "Up to date". It also shows it as "Intel".
