ver 8.4 : subject masking no longer works

Hello, I'm using Lightroom 8.4 desktop, and since version 8.4 the “subject” masking no longer works, whereas the “subject masking” option works perfectly on the web version. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi @ArnaudTer, thanks for sharing your System Info!

It looks like your GeForce RTX 3050 graphics drivers haven’t been updated in about 8 months. When you get a chance, could you head over to NVIDIA’s website and check for any available updates? That might help resolve the issue with Select Subject.

Let me know if you need help with that or have any other questions!

Thanks again,
Alek

Hi @ArnaudTer, welcome to the community!

Could you tell us a bit more about the issue you're seeing? Is it happening with all photos or just certain ones? And when you tested on the web, did you use the same photo that didn’t work on the desktop version? Do you get any error messages?

Also, if you could share your System Info, that would be super helpful. You’ll find it in Lightroom under Help > System Info. Just copy it into a text file and attach it here, or feel free to share it via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any file-sharing service you prefer.

Thanks so much!

Alek
