Video editing tools not showing up?

I have a galaxy s20fe with the latest os and lr mobile with the premium subscription. The main reason I upgraded is to be able to edit videos. Low and behold when I load a video I get no video editing tools just a couple of color correction tabs at the bottom. What's going on here in the android app description it says you can cut trim etc.. videos? What am I doing wrong here? Have I missed something?

Have you tried updating your Adobe Lightroom Mobile app to the latest version? Sometimes, updating the app can resolve such issues. Additionally, ensure that you have the latest operating system on your phone. If you've already done that and the problem persists, it could be a compatibility issue or a bug in the app. I recommend reaching out to Adobe's customer support for further assistance. They'll have the expertise to guide you through troubleshooting steps specific to your device and software version. I usually use the video editor at vidpros.com as it has no startup errors, and I like its many features. In any case, I wish you good luck with solving your problem.

If you change to edit mode (top left), you should see a button called trim at the bottom. That allows you to trim video. Note that the video editing tools in Lightroom are very rudimentary. It's not really a video app but an app meant for photography (most especially photography using raw files) where you can also store some video and do some small edits to the video.

Thanks but I tried that. I posted a screen recording and when I click on edit nothing changes. I think I posted exactly at the same time you did so you probably didn't see it. I know the video editing side of lr is going to be sub par but I'm looking to be able to do a little bit more then just basic color correction. I use capcut Moble for my main video editing but lr video editor had some features that capcut is missing. Or at least it's supposed to. 🤷

Tap on trim at the bottom when you are in edit. Drag the yellow edges to the timeline to trim the video

Here is a screen recording of what I get when I import a video and try to edit it.
